Hello hello friends! A quick check-in to show you some of my creative journey from February. I worked in my art journal a bit….
This page started out because I wanted to play with twisted masking tape for texture. After I put down my masking tape and gessoed over it I stenciled the bricks and started squirting acrylic ink around and one thing led to another and thus was born Neon Garden.
I love, love, love, how the bricks turned out!
When I began this page I knew I wanted to do something abstract so this was completely experimental. I kept layering and layering with mists, paint, gloss medium, and finally Vintaj Patina for Metal! I love the effect and texture that this medium added to my page. I used it in two different ways and can’t wait to experiment with it again. Here’s a couple of closeups….
More play with another Julie Nutting stamp. A reminder to myself to live in the Present! Renewed my love for Twinkling H2Os and texture paste!
The first scrapbook page I’ve done in quite awhile….
Last but certainly not least–
Proving to myself that I will never be a professional sketch artist!
Thanks for visiting today and I hope to see you again very soon!
Art Out With Your HeART Out
I was thinking, I’ve seen these pieces before – I love love love your abstract page… Then I remembered I watched your video presentation on You Tube – Memory like a sieve! 🙂 That was such a good presentation, I really enjoyed watching it!
I think the scrapbook page is delightful – I love all the detail on it. I haven’t done a page in years – and it’s where we probably all started isn’t it!. Most of my photos aren’t even printed out any more. And I’m not sure if that is a good or a bad thing.
I also love the opening picture of the heart .Pattie, it looks texture rich!
I love all the work you did in February – such a good idea to collect it all together in one post and I hope you will keep doing this 🙂
Pauline I thank you very much for your observations and compliments. I sure don’t print pics like I used to do now that everything is digital. I did buy a small photo printer called a Selphy–it’s made by Canon–and I can print out a pic in about 20 seconds from my phone wirelessly. Of course my phone is pretty much my camera now. Haha–where will all this technology end??? Happy day friend!
